Land is mother.

This artwork centres the Mother figure as a divine universal form through which narratives are weaved, origins are created, and a sense of familiarity is prevailed.
This work across paper is adorned with traditional ceramic art ornamentation and embroidery patterns and symbols.

At the core of this artwork are complex, cultural narratives and potent mediations on colonisation and indigenousness. The work is layered with hints on history and culture in the form of symbols and intricate patterns, and it incorporates verses from the poetry of Samih al-Qasim, a resistance poet, and outspoken opponent of racism and oppression in the Middle East.

الأرض أم.

يركز هذا العمل الفني على شخصية الأم باعتبارها شكلاً مقدساً يتم من خلاله نسج الروايات  وخلق الأصل
تم تزيين هذا العمل بزخارف فن الخزف التقليدي وأنماط ورموز التطريز.

يتكون العمل من طبقات تلمح عن التاريخ والثقافة على شكل رموز وأنماط حول الاستعمار والشعوب الأصلية، كما يتضمن جمل من شعرالمقاومة للمعارض الصريح للعنصرية والقمع في الشرق الأوسط الشاعر سميح القاسم.
